Pollinating Pollinators
The Flowers
Flowers are beautiful and come in different forms, sizes, colours and with differing aromas and characteristics. Generally, they all play the same role, in reproduction, which is essentially, to produce after its own kind whether it is by self-pollination or through cross pollination and enhancing adaption to changing environments.
Flowers play a key role for some landscapers in beautifying gardens. for adding romance in relationships and for fruit enthusiasts, in the production of fruit.
My little orchard has lemons trees, mango trees, orange trees, loquat, bananas, peach trees, avocado trees and many other indigenous fruit trees.

The Pollinators
Pollination is whereby pollen from the male part of the flower is moved to the female part of the flower resulting in reproduction.
Movement of pollen from the male part to the female part of the flower can take place in various ways. Wind pollination and insect pollination are quite common ways a flower can be pollinated. Coming out of the winter season, many plants start to flower and as summer starts to peak, insects become fairly active, looking for nectar in flowers or simply enjoying other parts of the plants.
