Roe Makawa, born Rorisang Ncube in Gwanda, Zimbabwe, is a dynamic worship leader, pastor, and artistic music director. As the visionary voice behind Bayethe Music, she is driven by a passion to transform lives and ignite a godly impact through the power of music.

Since the release of her debut single Bayethe in August 2015, Roe’s music has resonated across borders, making a notable impact in South Africa and Malawi. Singing primarily in Ndebele/Zulu, while also fluent in English, Shona, and Sotho, she bridges cultures and communities — spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ with messages of hope, love, and social engagement.

Beyond the stage, Roe is a creative soul who enjoys gardening, fashion design, and cooking. She is equally devoted to teaching, training, and nurturing talent, investing in the next generation of worshippers and artists.

Biography

Loved by her community in Domboshava, Roe Makawa reflects on her beginnings in Gwanda, where she grew up in a family of five children. Her journey in faith and music started early, serving as a Christian Youth Leader and singing in church choirs and home fellowships.

Her calling deepened when she moved to Harare, becoming Praise and Worship Director for His Musik – His Presence Ministries International. After contributing to their second album, Roe stepped into her solo career, blending traditional African sounds with contemporary gospel to create a unique, spirit‑filled expression of worship

Today, Roe Makawa stands as a gospel artist whose voice carries both cultural richness and divine purpose — a leader committed to advancing God’s Kingdom through music, ministry, and mentorship.
